Description

Hey! My name is Maike and I'm from Germany. I'm 19 years old and currently doing my Voluntary Year of Social Service (FSJ) at an elementary school in Germany. I’ll work there until July and plan on studying social work in October. In between that, I’d love to do my first work and travel.

What motivates me is visiting beautiful new places, meeting new people, and getting to know different cultures. I'm especially looking forward to spending more time in nature and unwinding from life at home.

I'd describe myself as a calm, creative, and positive person. In my free time, I love to draw, go climbing, watch films, play video games, and I've recently picked up photography! I enjoy quiet moments in nature as well as being around animals, especially cats :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

After a full year of working at an elementary school, I feel confident taking care of children. I really enjoy being around them :)
I also work a mini job as a climbing teacher (top rope) where I mostly do birthday parties for children up to 12 years old. There I also received my C-level trainer license in June.

Painting and crafting is a big hobby of mine, and I’ve already made many little figurines, sewed small plushies and painted my clothes. I’d love to craft and/or paint anything!

I take care of my cat Barnaby, and love animals.I’d be glad to take care of other animals too :)

I speak German and am happy to teach to the best of my abilities. I also speak English and a tiny amount of French.

I can of course help around the house, clean and cook.

I love to watch and talk about films and TV shows. There’s so much I have yet to watch, but I’ve fallen in love with the art form (pst, my letterboxd is uncool_uncool).

Board games and card games are also something I have a lot of fun with. I really like wizard :)

It’s only a small issue, but I do have scoliosis. I’ve barely had any issues with that in my life so far, I just might not be able to work 8 hours hunched over consistently. But if that ever becomes a problem, I’m sure we can work out a solution.
