Description
My name is Mohammed from the Al-Zalabieh Bedouin tribe and I run a Bedouin cave camp and tour company in the beautiful Wadi Rum desert in Jordan.
My family lives in Wadi Rum village at the beginning of the desert as well inside the beautiful Wadi Rum Desert we keep our animals (goats, chicken, camels, sheep, donkeys, pigeons) and run our desert cave camp for tourists.
We have a house in Wadi Rum village in addition to our authentic Bedouin cave camp in the desert.
We welcome you to experience our culture and see the beautiful desert we call home.Types d'aide et opportunités d'apprendre

Volunteers will get to experience the unique Bedouin hospitality. Volunteers will get their own bed in my house in the village and will have all of their food provided for them. I will also teach the volunteers Arabic if they wish. The location of our house in the beautiful Wadi Rum valley is truly special and volunteers will receive a warm welcome from myself and my friends and family. You will learn about the traditional lifestyle of the Bedouin community.
In their free time, volunteers can explore the village and Wadi Rum and enjoy the amazing scenery of the desert.Aide
I have been working as a tour guide for the last 15 years and enjoy sharing the special Bedouin culture and surrounding landscape with visitors to the area.
I started eco friendly experiences and Cave Camping with all tours and activities.
I need volunteers to help me expand my company's online presence to attract new visitors. In addition, professional photographers and volunteers with experience in social media marketing are also desired. We also need help with tidying up after guests leave, helping prepare Bedouin cuisine dinner under the sand, answering guests questions.
Volunteers are asked to have strong English skills to communicate both with me and the guests.
We also have fun times around the campsite stargazing, having dinner in a cool cave, sharing experiences and ideas!Langues

The accommodation will depend on the volunteer and the work at the time. Whilst in the village, the volunteer will have a private room with internet access. The volunteer may also stay at our camp in the desert in a private tent when we are hosting visitors there. All meals will be provided for the volunteers every day.
Autres infos...
The volunteers will have 2 entirely free days a week but the rest of the time work is very relaxed and the volunteer will have plenty of free time each day. On their days off, volunteers can visit other places in Jordan like Petra, Amman and the nearby city of Aqaba by the Red Sea. Aqaba is a resort town with a beautiful beach and the Red Sea is famed for its scuba diving locations. A bus departs the village every morning for Aqaba, and takes 45 minutes.

I stayed with Mohammed in the summer of 2022 for three weeks, and I enjoyed every moment of it. My daily tasks included helping with receiving guests, setting up the camp for the guests, and helping with cooking. But due to this work, I was able to go along on the trips to the desert, which was a blessing.

Wish you all the best my friend.
I'm thankful for my host and his family, couldn’t ask for more! And I'm thankful for the desert for the quietness and peacefulness that my spirit needed when I choose to travel to Jordan.
I went to take photos and of course brought the wrong cable… read more
