Description
I am Lukrecija, a girl from Lithuania. I am eager to understand the world and myself better, and I believe these two processes go hand in hand. I want to fully immerse myself in this adventure called life, which is why I am taking a little break from working as a pediatric (childrens’) doctor. During my break, I already spent a month volunteering in the Philippines at a forest school for children. I am now continuing my journey through Southeast Asia and am looking for my next opportunity to volunteer, contribute, meet new people, and learn along the way.
Friendship and community are very important to me. I grew up in a big family (I have 4 brothers) as well as we were part of the community. I think it gave me a feeling of belonging and being safe in the world. I think the true connection we can experiance as human beings with one another is so beautiful and one of the most important things in life.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I think my friends would describe me as a smiley, warm-hearted, creative, adaptable, and spontaneous human being. When somebody has an idea, I’m usually the first one to join in and support them.
I studied medicine in Lithuania and Germany, and afterwards I worked for a year as a doctor. One of my skills is understanding how the human body works and being able to help with health issues. I believe medicine taught me how to work with people, how to support them, and how to approach different situations with care. It also made me tougher, and I’m not afraid of hard work.
Throughout my life, I have volunteered at many kids’ camps, where I organized and led different activities. In the last two years, I have also volunteered at a kids’ surf camp as a medical doctor.
