Description

I’m an energetic, cheerful, and organized person who loves staying active, discovering new experiences, and connecting with people. Adventure and travel excite me, but I also value coming back home to family and friends.
I’m finishing a PhD in Management Engineering, which gave me the chance to live abroad for several months and discover how enriching it is to immerse myself in a new environment and build new daily routines. Now feels like the perfect time for a Workaway, before starting a more conventional career.
I enjoy cooking (true Italian spirit!), eating healthy, and I’m always curious to try local food – even insects don’t scare me! I like to fill my days with sports, activities, and good company, and end them with a book or a movie.
I'm looking for an unforgettable experience to enrich me (personality, skills and english) and the hosting family, and give me the opportunity to explore and feel a different life and country :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have a Master’s degree in Management Engineering and I am completing a PhD in Automotive Engineering for Intelligent Mobility. My studies reflect my personality: I enjoy organizing activities and events, solving problems and helping others.
Beyond academics, I’ve always liked working with people and animals. I grew up with a younger brother, and over the years I’ve had experience as a babysitter and dogsitter in my neighborhood. I’ve also been tutoring younger students for years, especially in math, physics, and science.
I am a native Italian speaker, I use English daily for my research, and I spent four months in Denmark, which helped me practice it in everyday life. I also understand Spanish quite well after a long trip to Colombia, and I can get by with some French. I’m generally good at understanding people even if they speak different languages, and I know how to improvise to make myself understood.
In daily life, I can easily help with housework, cooking, tidying up, entertaining and taking care of children, or walking dogs. I love animals and always wish to experience the hard day of work in a farm. I enjoy being outdoors, so gardening and harvesting fruit or vegetables are always welcome (and eating them too!). I’m also open to trying practical tasks like painting or building – I enjoy learning and don’t mind getting my hands dirty.
