Description

Hi! I’m Luana, a 32-year-old Italian girl who loves traveling, meeting new people, and living meaningful experiences.
I’m a primary school teacher and I’ve always loved working with children and animals. I’m a sweet, caring and respectful person, and I’m always open to learning new things.

Some of my most special experiences include spending one year in the USA as an au pair, where I took care of two wonderful children, and doing volunteer work in the Missionaries of Charity centers in Kolkata, India, where I helped elderly and disabled women.
After graduating from university, I also spent some time volunteering in a school in Tanzania, helping children with basic learning activities. These experiences touched my heart and made me grow a lot as a person.

I also enjoy practicing yoga, which helps me stay grounded and balanced while traveling. I believe it’s a beautiful way to connect with ourselves and the present moment.

Another big part of who I am is my love for creativity and handmade work. I’ve been practicing pyrography (woodburning art), knitting, and crochet for several years, and I love creating little objects and gifts with my hands.

Now I’m about to start a long journey through Southeast Asia, and I’d love to be part of local communities by helping and learning through Workaway.

I’m a qualified primary school teacher with years of experience. I can support children with learning, play, homework, and creative activities. I’ve also taught English and Italian to non-native speakers.

Volunteering Experience:

In my free time, I love practicing yoga, creating handmade crafts (like knitting, crochet, and pyrography), reading books, and spending time outdoors.

I enjoy going on nature hikes, horse riding, and spending time with animals — I feel very connected to them and I find it peaceful and grounding.
I also like simple things like taking long walks, having good conversations, or just reading a book in a quiet place.
