Hello!
My name is Louise, a friendly and creative new Workawayer. I am looking forward to spending time in Europe this summer to learn new skills, meet new people and experience different things!
I'm a creative at heart, and love doing hands-on hobbies in hobbies in craft, art and music. For work I create videos and edit films in the video industry in Melbourne Australia (for nearly 10 years now!) and am looking forward to taking a bit of a break from the big city. I love to travel and have done lots over the years, and the biggest joy of this has always been the varied people and cultures I've shared these experiences with.
I find joy in nature, live music, community, good food, movement, reading and the arts. I love to find meaningful connections with others, have thoughtful conversations, and stay curious about our world. I'm always up for fun and having a laugh along the way!

I would love to learn Spanish. At school I learned Spanish and German to very basic levels, and also did a few top up Spanish lessons in 2016 before a trip to Mexico.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I will bring enthusiasm and an open mind to whatever I'm doing - so I'm often very happy and willing to take on new tasks and get stuck in wherever is needed. I'm creatively minded, love to use my hands for art, playing music, being in the garden and enjoying nature.
• Children & Schooling •
For 3 months, I lived on a cattle station in outback Australia, and supported 2 children in their home based school room. I have a warm and gentle demeanour with kids, and love spending time with them.
• Art & Craft Projects •
I enjoy art and crafts as a hobbyist, including drawing, ceramics and digital art, and will jump at the chance to help paint a room in a house or do a little decorating! I would love to pick up more craft and woodwork skills if there's a chance.
• Gardening & Permaculture•
I have always tended a small garden in most places I've lived. Being a city dweller most of my life, I don't yet have much experiences with land, but I do thoroughly enjoying learning how to take care of plants, veggies and flowers. I have studied the lifestyle and techniques of Permaculture through Milkwood (Australia) and enjoy leaning on these principles whenever I'm in the garden.
• Film & Photography•
Working in the video and film industry, and can brings lots of professional experience with video, editing, photography and social media. I'd be more than happy to share these skills.
• Hospitality •
For many years during study and in my early twenties, I did various jobs in front of house hospitality, so am very familiar with being helpful pair of hands, multitasking, and being a warm and hospitable host.

Having good conversations and meeting new people are often some of the most memorable and enriching experiences. I also love to play music, getting stuck into a good board game, reading and exchanging books, or chatting the night away over a good meal or open fire. I look forward to being in touch :)
