Description

Hi everyone,

we are Marvin and Lorena, original from Germany but love to travel and discover countries, cultures and different ways of living. Both of us are easy going, flexible and have many years of work experience in different areas. We are very open to different work and stay options. Living a healthy, sporty and vegan lifestyle - but we have a very basic and plain diet (fruits, vegetables, beans, oats...), nothing fancy necessary ;)

Both of us fall in love with Canada and we met in Vancouver in 2022. After traveling Latin America and Europe together and lived in Berlin for a while, we are back in Canada since September 2025. We both work as digital nomads a few hours on weekdays.

Currently we are looking for several workaways:

March 2025: 1 month on Vancouver Island or another Island (ideally with horses)

April - September 2026: We would love to find a paid job ideally in the Yukon, BC or Alberta. We can split the month up or stay at one place.

We both have a valid work permit for Canada.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Lorena:
- fluent in english
- basic spanish skills
- worked and lived in Canada for over a year where I was a wrangler on a horse ranch guiding riding tours for tourists from all over the world (Broken Rail Ranch, Kelowna, BC)
- over 20 years of horse riding experience
- worked 3 month as an assistant horse trainer based on Natural Horsemanship (https://www.parelli-instruktoren.com/it/tanja-dominioni)
- work as a consultant for startups (business modelling, company building)
- experienced in the food & beverage industry
- knowledge about outdoor equipment (worked for Globetrotter)
- worked in a Craft Beer Shop and as a bartender

Marvin:
- fluent in english
- basic spanish and norwegian skills
- worked and travelled in Canada for over a year
- I am trained a carpenter with over 6 years of experience (framing, drywalling, furniture, installation)
- worked on a horse ranch as a ranch hand (general labour work, kids rides, animal care)
- trained sled dogs in northern Alberta, Canada
-work as a project manager for international trade fairs

Both:
- many house and pet sitting experience including small farm animals, horses, dogs, cats, etc. in Canada, Costa Rica, Italy, Greece and Germany
- used to hard labour outdoor work
- worked at the Vancouver Christmas Market in Retail as well as food & beverage
