Description

My working career was in the energy field; from O&G exploration to power plant operations. Most recently (past 7 yrs) I have been a full-time volunteer. This has included residential home construction, locally and Viet Nam (Habitat for Humanity), and Guatemala (Methodist Church); hiking trail construction (22 miles in N. AR.), trail maint. in Maine, Washington state, New Mexico, Alaska, and Kentucky (may have left out a couple). I have also worked with a historical preservation nonprofit located in Denver, Co.; about 12 projects in three years. I am familiar with home ownership and maint. I feel I am very detail oriented and a hard worker. I have been told I am "quick study"; i.e., learn very quickly. I was stationed in the Far East and later traveled on business in E. and W. Europe and to the People's Republic of China.
I feel I can perform most tasks after little instruction. I would prefer work that is outdoor and labor intensive. I am open to most locations. Also, I am available for an extended duration if needed and if the relationship is congenial.
I look forward to hearing from hosts who need a good honest and dependable workawayer.
