Les activités qui nous intéressent :

We're staying in western Canada on working holiday visa and live in our RV while traveling BC and Alberta. From time to time, we're looking for jobs or work aways, preferably in nature.

Description

We, Lisa (31) & Marvin (35), are from Germany and staying in Canada for a year with working holiday visa. We're on a career break from our jobs back in Germany and are looking to explore and learn new things outside our regular day-to-day life and comfort zone.
Marvin is a carpenter / cabinet maker and was self-employed, Lisa is a project manager for transport infrastructure (studied transport sciences and urban planner) and works on a freelance basis for her former employer in Germany for one day per week (needs good internet connection).
We love the outdoors, are passionate hikers and Mountainbikers, and are looking to connect with people and nature over Workaway. We are both vegan / vegetarian, care for our planet and love animals.
We are new on this platform, but we have both traveled a lot (mostly by van and backpacking), and have stayed with farms on the way every now and then. So the concept is not new to us, just this platform :)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Marvin has more than 10 years experience as a cabinet maker / carpenter, is an expert with all things made out of wood and overall just a very good handyman (says Lisa 🙂). He's also skilled with CAD and has his laptop / program with him in case you need something planned out or drawn up. He's confident working with a chainsaw.

Lisa grew up in a small village on a farm, so knows the work outside and loves animals. She is very well organized and service-oriented (she usually works as a project manager for transport infrastructure). During university, Lisa has worked a lot in restaurants, catering, bars, and on trade fairs. She is also very good with kids.

We are both very interested in learning new things and getting to know people from different backgrounds. Eventually, we’d like to renovate an old farm house and grow foods ourselves, so we’re especially looking for workaways and this field and to meet like-minded people.
