Hi there, I am currently on my Work-and-Travel Adventure in beautiful Canada. After finishing my law studies in October, I decided to fulfill a long-time dream of mine: traveling through Canada and experiencing the country not just as a visitor, but as part of a local and international community.
Canada has always fascinated me with its wild, vast, and diverse natural landscapes, as well as its equally fascinating culture and history.
I'm a nature lover. I do enjoy visiting big cities and sightseeing, but my heart really belongs to nature and animals. I love spending time outside and exploring nature by hiking or doing other outdoor activities. But my absolute favorite activity is horseback riding. I have been riding for 20 years now, have my own horse at home and I’d love to meet some Canadian horses. ;)
In general, I like all animals—whether they’re cuddly pets, farm animals that you can take care of, or wild animals that you can observe.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

During my studies, I worked in a variety of student jobs, gaining experience in customer service, administrative and office work, as well as media-related tasks. In addition, I have professional customer service experience from working at a travel agency, where I supported clients with bookings and inquiries.
An even more important part of my work experience has been working with horses: I’ve been riding for 20 years, and over the past 10 years I’ve had several jobs at riding stables, where I was responsible for general barn duties and had the opportunity to ride and care for many different horses. So I am not only used to taking care of horses, grooming and riding them, but I am also aware that working on a farm with animals can be physically demanding.
During my previous workaway stays, I gained experience in hobby farming, where I cared for various animals and learned about gardening. I'm currently working at a fishing lodge on Vancouver Island and here again, I really enjoy working with the customers.
Oh, right, and I studied law, but I'd like to take a break from that here in Canada ;)

Another hobby of mine is, of course, traveling and meeting new people. I am looking forward to the cultural exchange of meeting new people in a new country. I'm also very much interested in learning about Canada's history and cultures and I'm excited to explore Canada's beautiful und diverse nature.
