Hi! We are Lauren (UK) and Armando (Mexico). We love to travel, meet new people and learn about different cultures. We enjoy slow travel and like to spend long periods of time in one place to soak up as much as we can before moving on. The beauty of nature and the connection with others brings us much joy and we are huge animal lovers! We are sociable people and have traveled to many different countries, we believe traveling changes our life, opens our eyes to a new perspective and offers us a different mindset.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Lauren:
I am a reliable, well organised and hard working person. I can adapt well to different tasks and I am a quick learner, I am friendly and enjoy helping others. I have previously worked as a team leader at a coffee shop which gave me leadership and customer service skills.

I now work as a Virtual Assistant providing freelance admin support to businesses, my high organisation skills makes me ideal for this job, I also create content for newsletters, blogs and social media. I only work a few hours a week and my hours are flexible meaning I have the time to volunteer and experience the countries that I visit.

I love to be around animals and I have worked in various places with animals including horse stables, dog shelters and reservation projects. I also love to work in hotels, guest houses and co-living houses.

My volunteer experiences:

Environmental management, protecting an environment where wildlife lived this included cleaning the land and removing dangerous/poisonous objects.

Invasive species eradication project that I took part in South Africa this was maintaining the habitat of wild animals in a protected land so it would be safe for them, this role included taking part in anti poaching projects.

An animal shelter in Greece with over 30 animals including dogs, cats, horses and donkeys.

Housekeeping and organisation of Airbnb’s in Greece.

Co-living in Montenegro which included housekeeping and organisation of guests and activities.

Armando:
I studied Graphic Design and have worked for many years in the area of ​​advertising. I learned to do 3D design, i´m an artist and a photographer too.

I´ve been volunteering in Montenegro twice with worldpackers and it was an amazing experience. I was working in gardening, animal care, house keeping, tourist guide and photography.

I´m easy to help people to solve their problems, i give trust and reliability to the people that is around me.

I´m skilled using tools and I offer confidence and reliability for the tasks assigned to me.

I have expertise in gardening, animal care, sports, tourist guiding, photography, organizing events, cleaning and driving.

We enjoy spending our time with other people and group activities such as volleyball, swimming, hiking and play board games. We enjoy reading and watching movies and we would like to learn to cook a world wide cuisine. Armando enjoys soccer, tennis, squash and photography. Lauren enjoys horse riding and yoga.
