Description
Hello! We are Andri and Lara, a couple from Switzerland.
We fell in love with Norway a few years ago and have spent our last summer breaks exploring its stunning landscapes, traveling through the country with our rooftop tent. Our passion for the outdoors has grown with every adventure, and we love activities like fishing, hiking, surfing, camping and horseback riding.
Andri (30 y/o) is a landscape gardener by profession, deeply passionate about plants and outdoor work. He enjoys hands-on tasks and crafting, bringing valuable skills in gardening and landscaping to any in- and outdoor project.
Lara (25 y/o) is an environmental engineer specializing in sustainable development and education. She is driven by her love for nature and always seeks to promote eco-friendly practices. Lara spent a semester in Norway studying eco- and nature-based tourism, further deepening her connection to Norway and sustainable living.
Together, we are hardworking, enthusiastic, and always eager to embrace new experiences. Whether it's contributing to outdoor projects, gardening, sustainability initiatives, or learning something entirely new, we're excited to connect with people and contribute to meaningful projects in the country that holds our hearts – Norway!

We are both passionate about learning languages and are currently starting to learn Norwegian. We would love the opportunity to practice and improve our skills, with the goal of becoming fluent. It would be great if you could help us with some Norwegian lessons or simply engage in everyday conversations to help us learn.We are fluent in Swiss German and German and would be happy to teach you these languages in return if you‘re interested. We are also fluent in English and have basic knowledge of French. We believe language exchange is a wonderful way to connect : )

We both bring a diverse set of skills and are eager to put them to good use while learning from new experiences.
Andri, as a professional landscape gardener, has extensive experience in landscape building and outdoor work of all kinds, including permaculture. He is skilled in working with concrete, wood, and natural stone, and has a practiced hand with tools, both indoors and outdoors. Whether it’s garden projects, construction tasks, or general maintenance, Andri can contribute his craftsmanship and expertise.
Lara grew up in a Bed & Breakfast, making her experienced in hosting and maintaining clean, welcoming spaces. She is also a trained barista, so you can count on her to make delicious coffee! Lara has experience working with animals, particularly dogs and horses, and thanks to her background in education, she can care for children.
Together, we are both enthusiastic and quick learners, always excited to pick up new skills and contribute to a variety of tasks!

In addition to the skills and experiences we've mentioned, we also have a variety of other hobbies and interests. We love cooking dishes from all around the world and are always excited to try something new in the kitchen. A good meal is sometimes paired with a glass of wine, a passion we developed after years of helping with the annual grape harvest in the vineyards of Andri’s childhood home.
We also enjoy board games, good music, and spending time in the company of others. We find peace and happiness in nature, especially when we're near a lake, river, or the ocean. Being outdoors is where we feel most at home, and we are eager to learn more about Norwegian nature, including the plants, mushrooms, and wildlife.
We have a good sense of humor and love to laugh, making the most of any moment. We look forward to sharing stories, learning new things, and having a great time with our hosts : )
