Hi my name is Kayleigh:)
I’m 22 years old and from Munich in Germany. In the Summer i drove through Scandinavia, which reminded me how amazing it is to explore new places, learn about different cultures and meet new people. So my plan is to do a gap year before my studies and get some insights in different lifestyles.
I would describe myself as a very cheerful and open-minded person. I have many interests and skills in various fields, such as crafting, cooking, painting, playing instruments, gardening, animal care, and psychology.
My goal would be to develop these interests further, learn more skills, meet new people and help out with any projects you might have.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Growing up i always had pets and other animals around me, so looking after them and giving them lots of love is something I really enjoy. We also had a garden and did lots of different projects throughout the year, so there was always something to do.

From the start, I was keen to help people so I did a few mini jobs, like dog walking, buying groceries for elderly people and babysitting. I've been doing the last one for over three years now and enjoy it ever since. In relation to that i also done a bunch of internships in social work. For example, in places like kindergarten, special schools and psychiatry.

I've been working in a coffee roastery for over three years now, and gained a lot of knowledge about customer service.

Three years ago I joined a reforestation project. I learned a lot about forests and how to preserve Biotops. This project also awakened my curiosity about organic farming.
That is what led me to my first Workaway stay, where I helped out on a farm in Denmark. For two weeks i learned a lot about dogs and sheep, as well as landscaping.

Autres infos...

Although I currently life at home, i did live abroad in Ireland for a year and stayed with a wonderful host family. That taught me a lot about independents, taking over responsibilities and organising myself.
