September/October/November 2026: Preferably a workaway in Central Portugal.

Hi, I’m Kiki,
I’m a curious traveller, life-long-learner,fast-learner, and always interested in new cultures, traditions, spirituality, sustainability, food forest, tree planting, gardening, eco projects, community projects, retreat centres, and nature.

Mission: I would like to explore different kinds of regions in Portugal and lifestyles. Also, it would be nice to get some insights about life in Portugal and connect with people along the way.

Personal interests: Personal development, writing, meditation, relaxation, hiking, yoga, cooking, cultural exchange, language learning (portuguese), the outdoors.

Experience/skills:
🌳over 20 years of experience of working in social and pedagogical fields (I'm a social pedagogue, wilderness awareness educator and relaxation teacher),
🌳since 2019 I work as a Reiki practitioner,
🌳and in the last years I have worked in gardening, vegetable growing and hospitality.

Other work experiences: dog-/housesitting, cleaning, cooking and other household related tasks, some knowledge of wordpress/blogs, creating social media posts.

Kiki was a great addition to our team. She was very detail-oriented when cleaning the chalets and always made sure to resolve anything that was out of place. She also came up with ideas to improve processes and make them more efficient, which was very helpful and appreciated.

I stayed for 6,5 months at the chalets. Work was 5 hours/per day and 5 days per week + 3-4 times poolcheck/breakfast/welcoming guests. Kiki is a great volunteer - lots of gardening skills, good company, great cook, and very dedicated to her tasks. She is observant and proactive and needs almost no guidance. We had many meals with interesting conversations (she has a fascinating profession) and had some good laughs. I very much recommend Kiki as a volunteer!

First of all: Sorry for my late feedback!
I stayed with Vera and Natalia last August. The tasks were easy (like cleaning a kitchen, beehives), the river Mosel and the vinyards are just a few steps away, Vera and Natalia are very nice and we had really interesting conversations.

She sees all the work that needs to be done. We couldn´t ask so quickly....everything was already taken care of.
I was ill.....and Kiki arranged everything....

Kirstin was a great workawayer and I can highly recommend her. She helped us about everything that needed to be done in and around the house. She was very independent regarding to the daily tasks and we miss her 'German efficiency' in the house!! :)
