Description

Hello fellow souls,
we are Johanna & Julian from Germany.
Last year both of us quit our jobs to start travelling and to learn more about ourselves and the world.

About each of us as individuals:

Johanna:

Hey, my name is Johanna (28),

I am an open-minded, free spirited, curious, empathic soul. I love to learn, to look at the deeper layers of reality while enjoying life with lightness and not to take it or myself too serious. I like to connect, wether with other humans, animals, plants or myself.
Add openness, direct communication, authenticity and magic happens between souls.

Currently I learn to play the guitar and love to create music with other people. I received a drone flute as a gift to be my travel companion, so I am now also learning how to play this.
I love to express creatively through drawing and dancing with silk fans. My current project for 2024 is to find the artist within me, so I want to dedicate some time everyday for painting. I like to crochet. In general I love to work with my hands.

Learning about eco-building, plants, medicinal properties of plants, gardening, living in sync with the rhythms of nature, about art, beautification, living in a community, healing modalities are on my bucket list.

The last three years I worked as a physical therapist.
Occasionally I organized Trance Dance journeys. I learned in my personal journey a lot about embodiment, breathwork, the nervous system, communication skills, Craniosacral therapy, Yoga, reading humans. I am passionate about these topics and happy to share my knowledge. Maybe as well in offering bodywork sessions or organizing a Trance Dance workshop... :)

I speak English, German, basic Spanish. In this lifetime I would love to learn Russian and Arabic.

2024 is for me about finding freedom within me, integrating the masculine energy, to work for my vision and to stretch the understanding of my comfort zone. To be self-employed and to step into the unknown. And to play and find joy. To broaden my understanding of what's possible to create in this reality. :)
I am on the journey of finding out, how I can give value to the collective and the earth.
Workaway is a way for me to make travelling more sustainable. To learn about humans, their cultures, way of livings and beings. To create experiences of value and deep connections.

Hello! I'm eagerly embarking on a new chapter in life, and I'm excited about the possibilities it holds. This journey is a leap into the unknown, a departure from the comfort of the familiar, but it's a fear tinged with anticipation, a sign that I'm on the right path towards personal growth and detachment.

I consider myself a Consciousness Cosmonaut, drawn to exploring altered states of consciousness and the fascinating changes in brain waves, both internally and sometimes with external aids like meditation and, on occasion, through the use of certain medicines. I'm also passionate about self-development, often seen as a biohacker, but I prefer to define myself as a biohacker with a spiritual connection. My values are rooted in self-discovery, fostering deep connections with kindred spirits, a profound appreciation for the beauty of nature, and an unending quest for personal growth, fulfillment, and a deep sense of appreciation for the world around us. This journey is an opportunity for me to delve deeper into these aspects of life, to gain or expand knowledge from building houses, accompany retreats/workshops, permaculture, learning to do music, meditation, breathwork, and yoga, and to immerse myself in a completely different environment—far from the hustle of the city, the demands of a job, and the screens that often occupy our lives. Instead, I seek to surround myself with people who are on a similar path.

While Johanna is a creative spirit, often brimming with innovative ideas and boundless artistic energy, I bring a sense of structure and organization to our dynamic.
We complement each other's strengths and weaknesses, learning from one another every step of the way. Our shared journey is not just about experiencing the world but also about discovering the richness that our partnership brings to each moment.

As we prepare to dive into the Workaway experience, we come with open hearts, ready for new adventures, and eager to contribute to your project. We're drawn to the idea of synergy, where our shared values and goals can amplify the impact of our work together. Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Julian: with a background in logistics studies, I bring along strong organizational skills. Being empathetic and caring, I value respectful interactions. Adaptable and hands-on, I can swiftly learn the ropes in various tasks, whether they're hands-on, creative, or organizational. My grasp of social media can also contribute to online presence and communication.

Joa: I can teach you about the human body and the language of the body. I worked as a physical therapist, learned about craniosacral therapy. I would love to share my knowledge about trance dance facilitation, Yoga, about embodiment, breathwork and the nervous system with you.
I love to work with hands. I am an open-minded, curious person and a quick learner.
