Hi! my name is Juan and Im from Argentina, right now im living in Te Puke, Bay of Plenty and my goal for this upcoming months is to travel to the South Island, more precisely to the Marlborough region.
The love for travel I think it was born from the road trips with my family, the little details like the view from the window of the car, in this case the eternal green pastures, the intermittent lightposts and the ocassional cows, also the smell of the gas stations, i know it sounds weird hahah.
I traveled as a backpacker through northern Argentina (Tucuman-Salta-Jujuy), and then crossed the border into Bolivia, a beatiful country, i recommend you Coroico! The original plan was to reach Machu Picchu but money and time became scarce so it remains as a future objective.
I also had the pleasure to live in El Calafate for two years (South of Argentina, close to Ushuaia, home of the Perito Moreno glacier).
My reasons for traveling to the South Island are two, first and foremost the nature (accentuated by my love for the works of J.R.R. Tolkien) not only for hiking (one of my hobbies) but just the contemplation of it, is something really unique, and second to get a job in the wine industry, more specifically as Cellar hand, I love wine and I think it would be a great opportunity to work in this area during this working holiday.

Speaking more personally, Im a person who likes to get out of the confort zone, i think is one of the best tools to get to know yourself more accurately.
Im pretty optimistic and active, easy smile!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Work Experience:
Here in New Zealand i have been working in kiwi fruit orchards since october until now, I like the horticulture work very much, it is a great benefit that the tasks are outdoors.
Back in Mendoza, my home, I worked as a freelance translator for a couple of months, mostly translating birth certificates, identity documents, etc. Most of my work experience comes from the hospitality industry, Im a waiter and I have experience as a bartender.
I also used to work as a painter and doing some minor building things mostly general maintenance, im not afraid to use my hands!
I feel very confortable using computers.
Currently I tattoo when I have time to spare, with the goal of dedicating myself full time to tattooing.

My hobbies are:
The main one is drawing, I have "talent" for realism but it's the one that bores me the most haha, so I give priority to tattoo design, I also like to read, right now I'm reading a novel called "Blindness".
Within the sports category I would put cycling, as it was as a kid my first love, I also really enjoy hiking and strength training.
Obviously I like series and movies too, recommendation for whoever is reading this, watch Incendies by Denis Villeneuve.
