Description

Hi! I’m Juan — a traveler, photographer, and outdoor guide from Bilbao, Spain.
I’ve spent most of my life working in the mountains and traveling around the world, combining adventure, photography, and cultural exchange.

For over 10 years I worked as a photographer and snowboard instructor in the Swiss Alps (Zermatt), the Pyrenees, Japan, Chile, and Argentina. My background is in visual storytelling and guiding people in nature, and I’ve collaborated with several international magazines and outdoor brands.

A few years ago, a physical injury forced me to pause everything I was doing and rethink my lifestyle. Since then, I’ve chosen to travel more slowly and intentionally — focusing on creative projects, volunteering, and connecting with local communities.

I’m responsible, calm, and easy to get along with. I enjoy teamwork, learning new things, and adapting to different environments — whether it’s helping with photography, gardening, maintenance, or animal care. I’m also very practical and good at solving the unexpected challenges that come up when traveling or working with others.

I’ve been volunteering through TrustedHousesitters, where I take care of homes and pets while traveling, always leaving everything clean, organized, and full of good energy.

I’m currently in Asia and open to new volunteer opportunities.
I’d love to collaborate on creative or community projects, nature-based work, or any experience that allows me to keep learning and sharing.

I’m a professional photographer and mountain guide with more than 15 years of experience in outdoor and travel photography. My work has always been deeply connected to nature, exploration, and authentic human moments.

After many years focusing on mountain and adventure photography, I transitioned into a more commercial and creative field — working as a visual storyteller, producing lifestyle, travel, and hotel content, as well as stock and UGC photography for different brands and companies.

I’m reliable, adaptable, and used to working in diverse environments, from remote mountain locations to urban or coastal settings. I enjoy connecting with people, organizing projects, and helping others bring their ideas to life.

I can help with photography, social media content, video, or creative direction — but I also enjoy practical work outdoors, gardening, animal care, or any hands-on project that keeps me active and connected to nature.
