Description

Family of 4, 2 boys 10&12 are taking a year off to engage with our passions, connect and support other hardworking passionate families and communities doing what they love. My wife and I have travelled and worked in more than 70 countries combined. Our kids have spent significant time in 7 different countries over the last 10yrs of their lives, traveling and adapting to new environments as a family is second nature. We are hoping to find work away locations where the kids can be with other kids and engage in life on the land with other good souls.

Zach:

I’ve been a builder most of my life, Carpenter by trade and a MA in Vernacular Architecture. Started 2 different companies over the last 25 Years, Worked overseas in Papua New Guinea for the Provincial Government managing the construction of Teacher housing contracts in remote locations including the installation of gravity fed water systems, Micro Hydro and solar systems. but it’s time for another transition, hoping a year off with the family will be a soulful way to make the jump into things unknown when we return to Candada.

Post and beam/timber frame & log experience
Extensive Business development and operations experience
Extensive Project & Construction Management
Complex logistics and procurement experience
Masters Degree from Oxford Brookes in Vernacular Architecture and Heritage Conservation
Currently owner of Engi Group Ltd in Canmore AB Canada, manage 2 million in sales annually

Hobbies & Enjoyments

Hiking, backpacking, biking ,skiing, climbing, canoeing, building/creating. Spending time with my family, exploring new places, long walks, coffee in all forms, wine, chocolate and handmade food.
