Hi, I'm Jolien from Belgium, in love with getting to know more of new cultures, habits, languages, other people and as well myself. Both nature and people are my thing: both are so fascinating and variated and I'm really eager to get to know more of both of them. I'm really into hiking, sports in general, animals and people. But most of all: I like to help. I want to be a part of the place where I stay an contribute wherever I can. I've already worked in Colombia at a coffee farm and in a hostel in the Amazones. People describe me as special: open minded, fits in every place and home because she adapts so quickly, likes to help, is spontaneous and loves to learn. She dares a lot and is very kind. They also describe me as social, which I think is true, but I also really like time on my own. I am very grateful for the various things that I already was able to do and I'm so curious about what's still coming 😍. I don't have specific ideas of where I want to go or what kind of job I want to do, because I think the connection with the people I live with is the most important as well as that many experiences will be so meaningful. I do love to be active and do a lot of things and I really love it when there are animals in the house. Taking it easy is nice for some moments, but most of all I like to be busy 🙂. I'm so excited where and with who I will end up ☺️🥳.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I've been already very lucky with the chances I already had in life. I've finished my masters in Clinical psychology, worked as a student with kids with a disability and did a lot of babysitting. Besides that I also worked ina bakery, a grocery shop and a restaurant in my hometown. I've been able to go study abroad for 6 months to Australia where I was able to really approve my english and was a teacher to people who wanted to learn Dutch. Now I am in South-America hoping that I will learn a lot about different cultures, be able to help and learn the language. I've been in Colombia for three months and worked on a coffee farm as well as in the Amazonas in a hostel. I already understand the most of what people say in Spanish and I can answer, but the more practice, the better 😀. I am really happy to learn all kind of new things and I learn pretty fast. I also really love helping in all kind of ways: nature, animals, people, household, sports...

Other nice things to know about me: I am really a family person 😍. At home I'm always a very busy person that meets with lot of friends, helps out everywhere where I can, dances in a group, sings in a choir, goes rollerblading, goes to the gym, goes walking very often with my dog... ☺️
