Caring for animals

Description

My daughter and I are looking for our next WorkAway. We love all animals, travelling, nature, hiking, gardening and being outdoors as much as possible. My 15 year old (soon to be 16) daughter adores animals and hopes to study animal management at college so we are looking for hands on practical work experience with animals.
We have done two previous WorkAways at a Spanish animal sanctuary where we fed, walked, cleaned the enclosures and fussed over a Shetland pony, a blind pony, a donkey, 7 dogs, numerous goats, 6 cats, and various ducks, chickens and geese and also helped repair enclosures, pruned trees and lavender bushes. We also have our own pet cats and guinea pigs and are intermediate horse riders so very comfortable around large and small animals and anything in between. I am also a very keen gardener and am very keen to learn more about growing produce to improve my own fruit and vegetable growing at home.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I run an educational charity in the UK. I am therefore experienced at managing staff and working as a team. I am very organised and practical and enjoy finding solutions to problems and I can turn my hand to pretty much any task required, and definitely not afraid of hard work. We are both fit and able to work outside.

I am also a keen gardener and look after our pets.
