Cat-sitting

Description

A mature, Canadian digital nomad here. Based in Toronto, Canada.

I’m seeking house-sitting and cat-sitting opportunities mostly in Europe in 2026 but open to anywhere in the Americas. Expertise with cats. Love them. Good at DiY, plant care, and housework.

I have cat-sit in three separate Netherlands homes over the past few years, returning to all of them more than once, and one of them six times. The homeowners would all give me excellent references.

I'm a writer and editor by profession and can work remotely from anywhere. Open to long-ish stays, though not exceeding two to three months.

I'm open to house exchanges.

Interests: writing, photography, the arts, nature, hiking, long-distance walking, food, yoga, Pilates, the environment, sustainable living, simplicity.

My profession is journalism, so anything within that realm (including writing, photography, design, social media) is my expertise. But I am using Workaway to expand my other interests, including home DIY, sustainable farming or gardening, anything else outdoors. Have skills and experience in interior decorating (painting, restoration) and I putter in the garden. Would love to deepen my knowledge of all these interests. Housesitting and cat sitting desirable. Personality-wise, am quiet, bright, pleasant, very tidy, growth mindset.
