Hey! My name is Jannis, I'm 23 years old and I'm from Germany.

I recently completed my Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science and am now looking for a place where I can spend a few weeks surrounded by nature, meet interesting people, and experience a different way of life (before I begin a master in environmental engineering in October). Traveling and getting to know new cultures has become one of my biggest passions, and I always enjoy learning from the people I meet along the way.

In my free time, I spend a lot of time doing sports. I enjoy running, I'm currently learning how to surf, and I love pretty much every kind of ball sport. I also enjoy cooking (mostly vegan), spending time with friends, and simply being outdoors whenever I can.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I enjoy working and living with people and, as a former youth football coach, especially with children. I also recently worked as an activity leader at a German language camp, where I organized and led activities for international students aged 14–17, helping create a fun, safe, and welcoming environment during their stay in Berlin.

With Workaway, I worked at a windsurfing and SUP school in Croatia, helping customers, and later spent a month in Nicaragua working as a bartender, where I met and connected with people from all kinds of backgrounds. In Indonesia, I volunteered in a small village, teaching children basic English.
I also spent a total of six weeks house and pet sitting for dogs in Spain and England.

For six months, I worked as a student assistant at the agricultural research station Weilburger Grenze in Germany. I supported a variety of field trials and gained hands-on experience in crop production, experimental fieldwork, and day-to-day farm operations.

I am a native German speaker, fluent in English, and have an intermediate level of Spanish. I also enjoy learning a few words of every language I come across. :)

I also enjoy practical work and have gained some basic experience with maintenance and repair tasks while helping at a summer camp a few years ago.

I love trying new things and am always excited to learn new skills.

I consider myself flexible, adaptable, and easy to get along with, so I hope we can have a great time together! :)

At the moment I am working for Amnesty International in Germany. The Job is basically teaching me how to communicate with every type of person, so you could say I am a professional haha :)
