Hey!

We are Jamila and Rick. Two dutchies that are travelling since last september (2024 ) in Latin America. (Re)discovering all the beauty this part of the world has to offer. Both in nature and culture.

We are social, practical and easygoing. Jamila is an experienced yoga teacher, nurse and former healthcare manager. She is full of positive energy, is not afraid of hard work and loves all life.

Rick is an avid mountain lover, also a nurse and has extensive experience in the tourism sector. He likes to tell a good story, loves to cook and is not afraid to get his hands dirty.

We will be travelling for a while and would like to stop and slow down every now and then. Working as volunteers seems to be the perfect way to do this.

I stayed at the ashram for two weeks and had an absolute amazing time! The food is delicious (thank you Aloka!), there are three yoga classes a day you can attend and the work is easy going; you can manage your own time frame. Everyone was really good to me: Very warm, open minded and lovely place to be.
