  Description

  Country life creating a home on a lifestyle property in the popular Heathcote wine growing region of rural Central Victoria. House is made of mud bricks, and we need some help adding finishing touches and outdoor jobs before we can move onto the next exciting projects. During certain times of the year there maybe opportunities to learn about and experience winegrowing and winemaking. Also, my father now in his 80's is waiting for a knee replacement and would like extra help with day to day activities. He has a small grove of fruit trees to be pruned, harvested and preserved at different time of the year. The property has an array native wildlife and plants to see too.

  You will be included in a friendly country living community with a deep connection to wine making. You will have the opportunity with us to travel the region to visit many of the boutique wineries in the area. We love our food too and have gatherings to share these experiences together.

  General duties around the house and property would be fine including cooking, cleaning, gardening and collecting firewood also any building or DIY skills would be a bonus. Maintaining and trending to fruit trees, picking and preserving fruit. Helping my 84 year old father with daily activities.

  Hébergement

  Shared in house accommodation and food. We have a small loft with a ladder style staircase in our study with a double bed up there and a single fold out lounge bed too if the staircase is not for you.
  
  Depending on the time of year we have a caravan and also camper-trailer for those a little more adventurous. We have an open plan kitchen and dining room where we have our meals.
  
  There is also a barbeque and outdoor furniture set on the verandah where we have meals when the weather is perfect for it.

  We are 10 minutes from the country town and 90 minutes from the city of Melbourne. You will be able to organise private and public transport to the town and city as you choose.
