After writing this, here is the short summary of the below:
Enthusiastic good communicator seeks food and hard labour.
I have some skills but would not say that I have specialist practical skills! I'm best trained in communication skills, whether that's especially transferable to working on a small holding is going to be something I find out. I'm a quick-learner, good and practiced at team-work and taking direction. Equally happy problem solving and learning new things as I am picking up leaves for 5 hours listening to music.
My work experience has been in Care Homes, Special Educational Needs Schools, Psychiatric Hospitals, as a therapist in a ADHD and Autism Assessment Team, and most recently working in a homeless shelter for 16-25 year olds.
Have now done around two months total volunteering at a Bird Sanctuary/Zoo, loved it. Mornings were spent with simple animal care tasks, watering, egg-collecting, feeding, making sure all was well. Afternoons of building bits and pieces, including a compost set-up out of pallets that got super hot.
Recently, I've spent a month volunteering at an animal refuge in Morocco.
Here's some descriptions of some basic practical skills I have:
Gardening:
- I know the difference between a weed and a plant if they are very very distinct.
- I can build a semi decent growing table out of storage bins and scrap wood.
- I only eat 35% of strawberries and tomatoes when harvesting them.
Animals:
- Have had shifts caring for 15 dogs and 30 cats, noticing wounds, feeding, cleaning etc.
- Feel calm and confident around any animal not actively trying to eat me.
- Give excellent belly rubs.
- Am consistent and committed to looking after them.
Teaching and working with children:
- Have worked for around 4 years with children with additional needs and am really intent on making learning interesting and diverse.Âge

I have a spectrum of hobbies but the one that I'd happily teach you if you would like that is Dungeons and Dragons, the ultimate game.
At this point in life I've tried pretty much every easily accessible hobby at least twice so very easy to engage if you have a particular obsession you love to share!Informations complémentaires
