Description

Hey, I’m James. I came to Australia from England in February 2024 and have been here since. I've had great experiences in NSW, Australia and Lake Como in Italy when I returned to Europe for a while. I'm now on the West Coast of Australia and I'm looking for opportunities to help realise the beautiful visions that are available here.

I'm always up for trying my hand at any tasks that are available, and with a background in construction management I'm sure I could help bring to life any construction projects you have in mind. At my previous stays I gained a lot of experience in feeding and caring for animals, grounds maintenance, planting, gardening as well as general hospitality.

I love meeting new people from varied backgrounds to learn and share experiences with and broaden my worldview. I pride myself on my sense of humour and love being around others who are the same, but also value peaceful time to reflect and relax.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I’ve worked in construction management since completing an apprenticeship following school, and have a decade of industry experience in both the UK and Australia. I’m confident I could help realise any construction goals you may have in mind, no matter how big or small. I’ve experience with all sorts of tools, and will be able to help with any general maintenance/handy tasks you might need.

My speciality is commercial management in construction, so if you run a business, I promise I can find a good use for my Microsoft Excel skills!

I’m an animal lover through and through, with most my weekends back home being spent exploring with my border collie cross, Bertie. I’d love the opportunity to help with the care of any animals you may keep, no matter how messy or hard the work may be.

Growing up in an industrial city in England, I’ve always wanted to live amongst a more environmentally conscious society, and have a strong interest in self sustainable living. Although limited by space (and climate!) back home, every year we plant potatoes, tomatoes, chillies, strawberries and rhubarb. I’d be thrilled to learn and contribute to any farming you might undertake, especially if there’s an end goal of self sustainability.

Cooking is one of my passions, especially when trying to create authentic dishes from other cultures. My favourite cuisines are Indian, Lebanese and Mexican, and if you’re into sharing cooking responsibilities, I’m sure I can whip something up that’ll excite you!
