Life is a big canvas and we still have a lot to paint !
Just retired, time and space have a completely different meaning now.
Life follows other paths but it can be still vibrant!
After many years dedicating to job and family, we now want to dedicate energy to our passions. We want to live our age actively, but at the same time we want to reserve time for people and places, we want to taste new enriching experiences intensively. So we see Workaway as a journey to be enjoyed, an opportunity to get in touch with true values and real lives of the host and of his community.

Ivana has a passion for: Languages (Italian, English, French, German), organization of cultural events, volunteering in charity, philosophy, hiking, cooking, creative babysitting, help in the house. After many years working in the sales/ service department of a big company, I would be happy to apply my experience in customer care in the touristic field, which is my ultimate dream, enabling to combine languages, culture, socialization.

Vittore is a sportsman, he's active in: running, hiking, biking. He has also some expertise with gardening, animal breeding, family cooking, babysitting, help around the house. He only speaks Italian, so he could serve as mothertongue. In any case he always finds ways to communicate!

We both are particularly fond of hiking, which we try to practise regularly, almost every day, as a way of healing body and mind.
We are eager to socialize, we are open to explore new ways of life and we think we have some competences to learn as well as to share !

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Ivana :
- I have worked in an export sales department for many years and have a true passion for languages. However, I need to refresh my oral German and I will definitely dedicate the years to come to improve it. My dream would be attending a Bachelor in political sciences in German so I’m attending preparatory courses to reach this goal.
- I am member of an association promoting cultural events : Presentation of books, organizations of conferences on various subjects, visits to historic towns, activities for environmental awareness such as flea markets and "swap parties" (where you can exchange used dressed in good condition). We also organized “Speak ’n drink”, that is an aperitif in English : an informal opportunity to talk in English on various topics, while eating and drinking. I am passionate about creation of flyers and posts of the events, to be published on social media.
- I love folk dance and hiking
- We (Vittore and I) love creative baby-sitting. We play games using various materials and fantasy games. We also cared for a couple of foster children as long as 1 year, until the moment when their mother could finally get a job and live independently

Vittore : - I am passionate with biking, running and hiking, and I serve as a guide for a walking group of seniors who want to stay active, organizing trails in the mountains (hiking level, not a professional alpine guide). We are both (my wife and myself) in love with alpine environment,but in general we love to stay in contact with nature
- I like gardening and have a vegetable garden myself. I also breed animals such as chickens, rabbits, bees.
- Cat and dog-sitting is also a passion. I regularly take dogs in the kennel out for a walk
- I like cooking family meals, especially those of Italian tradition
- I only speak Italian but can easily find ways to communicate

We have a good level of adaptability to start this new adventure : we often go on holidays around Europe camping with our van, so flexibility is indispensable whenever travelling on a non-conventional holiday.
