Experiences are what I treasure most. While I am a minimalist when it comes to material possessions, I am a maximalist when it comes to memories. Now in my early 60s—retired, healthy, and single—I am dedicated to making the most of every moment.

For nearly a decade, I have spent 6–7 months of the year exploring the globe and the remainder 'digesting' those journeys at home in California. Workaway has become my favorite way to travel. It provides the structure, purpose, and instant community that traditional tourism often lacks.

I am financially secure, I don’t choose Workaway to save money; I choose it for the richness of the experience. From the mountains of Switzerland to the vibrant streets of Vietnam and Colombia, I love contributing my time in exchange for a deeper, more authentic connection to the places I visit.

I spent three decades in the fast-paced world of California high-tech, but these days, I find my fulfillment in service and variety. To me, work is a way to stay connected to the world.

I’ve spent the last several years immersing myself in work exchanges: I’ve been a teaching assistant in 4 countries, an island helper in Alaska, and a volunteer with children in Vietnam. I’ve also spent time in the spiritual ashrams of Rishikesh and working retail back home. I am just as comfortable in a commercial kitchen as I am in a classroom. I take pride in being a hard worker who brings a positive, grounded energy to every team I join.

I maintain an active, healthy lifestyle and am fully capable of physical labor. To give you an idea of my fitness level, I recently completed the Camino de Santiago in Spain, trekking 800 km over five weeks while carrying a 25-pound pack.

Originally from India, I moved to the US at 22 for graduate school and built a career in Silicon Valley. Now, I am embracing a new chapter as a global citizen and Workaway traveler. I am excited to bring my work ethic and life experience to your project and look forward to the journey ahead!
