Hello, my name is Isabel. I'm currently exploring the Old Continent with my 4-year-old son, Nathaniel. We've come to visit family in Spain and would like to learn more about other cultures around here. We live in Pisac, Peru, where I run a guesthouse in Cusco with my family. We've hosted many workawayers, and the experience and cultural exchange have always been pleasant. A few years ago (before my son was born), I went backpacking through South America, and there I had my first experience with workaway. I've been to several biodynamic farms, working with families, and helping out at tourist centers.
I enjoy working in the garden, with the land (my son also has fun there); cooking and learning new ways to combine food. I've been getting into the arts for some time now; I enjoy painting, dancing, and writing.
We would love to connect with local hosts, learn their traditions, the way they live, and the projects their hearts are expressing. Help them in any way we can.

Hola, mi nombre es Isabel, me encuentro explorando un poco el viejo continente con mi hijo de 4 años, Nathaniel. Hemos venido a visitar familia en España y nos gustaría conocer un poco más sobre otras culturas alrededor. Vivimos en Pisac, Perú donde manejo una casa-hospedaje en Cusco con mi familia. Hemos recibido a muchos workawayers y la experiencia e intercambio cultural siempre ha sido grato. Hace unos años (antes que nazca mi hijo) me fui de mochilera por Sudamerica y ahi tuve mi primera experiencia con workaway. Estuve en varias fincas biodinámicas, con familias y ayudando en centros turisticos.
Me gusta trabajar en el jardín, con la tierra (mi hijo tambien se divierte ahi); cocinar y aprender nuevas formas de combinar los alimentos. Iniciandome en el mundo del artes desde hace un tiempo, me gusta pintar, bailar y escribir.
Nos encantaría conectar con los anfitriones locales, aprender sobre sus tradiciones, su forma de vida y los proyectos que expresan con su corazón. Ayudarlos en todo lo que podamos.

Me gusta mucho aprender otros idiomas. Siento que es la mejor manera de enterder un poco otra cultura. Aprendi el ingles principalmente a través de canciones y películas. Despues estudié en un instituto pero gracias a la música y las peliculas me fue más facil aprender a pronunciar las palabras correctamente y las frases del día a dia. Puedo enseñar ingles, español y portuguese. Actualmente me encuentro aprendiendo Italitano

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have studied tourism management, have experience managing hotels and restaurants, and have been managing my guesthouse in the Sacred Valley, Cusco, for a few years. I can help with management of anykind.
I also an English teacher but havent teach in a while.
I'm passionate about food, discovering new flavors, and experimenting with new, healthy recipes for myself and my son.
I love being around plants, maintaining the garden although I'm not an expert on the subject. I follow my intuition and im always eager to learn more about it. I have a small garden at my home in Cusco.
As a mother Im learning to be more present and to feel my sons needs. I love playing with him, teaching him new things, to write, to sing, to water plants... If hosts have children would be amazing so my son can connect with other children and we can all play and discover the wonders of life together.

Estudié administración de turismo, tengo experiencia administrando hoteles, restaurantes y desde hace unos años administro mi Casa-hospedaje en el Valle Sagrado, Cusco. Me considero alguien organizada, sé lidiar con turistas y resolver problemas que puedan surgir con empatía y calma.
Tambien soy profesora de inglés aunque hace tiempo que no enseño.
Me apasiona la comida, descubrir nuevos sabores y experimentar nuevas recetas saludables para mi y mi hijo.
Hablo fluidamente inglés y portugués.
Me aficiona la jardinería, huertas y plantas aunque no soy una experta en el tema, sigo mi intuición y me gusta aprender más sobre el tema. Tengo una pequeña huerta en mi casa en Cusco.

This trip is very special for me because I'm working on connecting with my son Nathaniel and showing him a little bit of the world, which is also what I'm passionate about. Discovering new places, leaving our comfort zones and connecting with new people, and feeling that we can make a home in different places, that our safe place is in our mother-son connection.
For parents, you already know that raising a child can feel like a real challenge some days, but all the purity and love a child brings is truly enriching to the soul of those who know how to receive it.
I hope we can connect with people who are open to receiving the healing that comes with having a child around.

Éste viaje es muy especial para mi porque estoy trabajando la conexión con mi hijo Nathaniel y mostrándole un poco el mundo, que es lo que a mi también me apasiona. Descubrir nuevos lugares, salir de nuestra zona de confort y conectar con nuevas personas y sentir que podemos hacer hogar en distintos lugares, que nuestro lugar seguro está en nuestra conexión madre-hijo.
Para los padres, ya saben que criar un hijo puede sentirse como un verdadero reto algunos días pero toda la pureza y amor que un niño trae, es realmente enriquecedor para el alma de quien sabe recibirlo.
Espero que podamos conectar con personas que estén abiertas a recibir esa medicina que trae el tener un niño cerca.
