Hi! My name is Hella Marie I am 18 years old and come from a small village near Freiberg in eastern Germany.

After I finished school in summer 2024, I started a job training in real estate. But unfortunately, I didn’t feel comfortable in the company – after one year I realized that it wasn’t the right place for me. The working atmosphere didn’t feel good, and I didn’t feel supported or understood.

So I made the decision to leave the training and use this time in a meaningful way: to go abroad, meet new people, learn new things and grow. I’ve been dreaming of this experience for a long time – and now feels like the perfect moment to do it.

I’m a very open-hearted, happy and curious person. I really enjoy talking with people, learning about their lives and seeing things from new perspectives. I have a very mixed group of friends – we are all different, and I love that! I’m always open to meeting new people and making real connections.

At home, I live with my family on a small farm. We share the house with my uncle, his wife and their three little kids. On weekends, I often take care of my cousins – we play, cook together or read stories before bed. I love spending time with children, and people often say I’m patient, creative and kind.

Animals are also a big part of my life. I’ve been riding horses since I was 6 years old, and my horse Brenda lives in the field behind our house. We also have a dog (Eili) and a cat( Juli). I know how to care for animals in a calm, loving and responsible way – I grew up with them.

I’m excited to help with anything – housework, gardening, animals, kids, or creative work. I’m a fast learner, not afraid to get my hands dirty, and I always try to bring positive energy.

I’m available to help from August 1st to October 30th.



What I hope for: a warm, friendly place with nice people where we can share daily life, learn from each other and have a good time.

I’m very motivated to improve my English and would love to speak it more fluently. That’s one of the reasons why I’m doing WorkAway – to practice in everyday life and learn naturally through real conversations. I’m also very open to learning new languages like Italian or Spanish. Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I grew up in the countryside with animals, nature and a big family – so helping out has always been part of my daily life.

I have a lot of experience with animals, especially horses. I’ve been riding and caring for my own horse for many years, and we also have a dog (Eili) and a cat (July) at home. I’m confident, loving and responsible when animals around me

I often take care of my three cousins (aged 7 to 15), so I’m very used to spending time with children – playing, cooking, talking, or just being there for them. I’m patient, creative and enjoy making others feel cared for.

I also love cooking and prepare meals for my family almost every day.

We have a big garden and a horse stable at home, so I’m used to physical work, building things, cleaning or helping outside. I’m not afraid of getting my hands dirty and always try to do my best.

Besides taking care of animals and cooking, I love spending time with my friends. Sometimes we go to a lake to enjoy boating or explore new cities that I haven’t visited before.

Traveling and discovering new places is one of the most important and beautiful things in my life. I’m always excited to learn about different cultures and see the world from new perspectives.
