We’ve decided to take our time traveling slowly from France to Japan—through Italy, Greece, Turkey, Georgia, Kazakhstan, China, and South Korea—before arriving in Japan around October 1st.

Description

Hi! We’re Heline and Benjamin, a French couple together for nearly 4 years. We’ve just left everything behind to live a unique adventure, going to Japan by buses and trains and in Japan through a one-year Working Holiday. This journey is a conscious choice to slow down from our intense Parisian lifestyle and truly connect with people from diverse cultures and backgrounds. We’re interested in any activity that allows us to meet locals, learn new skills, and immerse ourselves in different ways of living. Whether it's helping with animals, gardening, cooking, creative projects, or community life—we’re open, adaptable, and eager to contribute. We chose Japan for its values of respect for others and the environment, which inspire us deeply. We hope this journey will help us grow and become more grounded, and we believe that the people we meet along the way will be a big part of that growth.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We are a curious, motivated, and very complementary couple with an active and sporty lifestyle. We love moving, learning, adapting, and helping wherever we go. I (Heline) have childcare experience—I looked after a 5-year-old girl for a year (school pickup, playtime, bath, etc.). I also have strong business skills (marketing, finance, communication, strategy...) developed through years of supporting entrepreneurs. I'm confident using digital tools and enjoy integrating them into daily life to save time and improve organization. My partner (Benjamin) has worked as a cheesemonger, in financial sales, and in sports event marketing (Tour de France, Stade de France…). He’s also a passionate surfer with several years of experience, and he often helped his grandfather in the vegetable garden. Hist dream his to build a house, mine is to create an animal shelter. We both ski and love outdoor activities. As a team, we’re dynamic, versatile, kind-hearted, and always eager to learn and contribute!

We share many passions that bring us joy on a daily basis. We're both fans of artistic gymnastics (I practiced for 10 years, and Benjamin loves trampoline and acrobatics), and we also have our own special interests—he’s been passionate about football since childhood. Together, we love playing board games like Skyjo, Tac-Tic, or Uno, and we’re both big fans of the Harry Potter universe. We enjoy cooking (mainly French and Italian food), but even more—we love eating! Benjamin is passionate about coffee and is starting to build real knowledge around it. We’re also into photography and enjoy visiting photo exhibitions and capturing creative shots with unusual angles—Benjamin even uses a 35mm film camera. Traveling together is something we truly cherish: discovering new cultures, lifestyles, food, and perspectives is what fuels us. Last but not least, we are both very close to our families and long-time friends—we’ve each kept close ties with childhood friends we've known for over 15 years.
