Description

I have completed three quite different Workaways so far and thoroughly enjoyed each one. I have been helping with English, cooking, cleaning, gardening and weeding, playing with children, walking dogs, house sitting, looking after a pregnant cat and feeding a hamster. I am loving being able to learn about the culture of each country by living there during the Workaway and through interaction with the hosts and families. I am also a regular homexchanger and I love helping out in other people's homes. I always find myself looking to weed gardens, look after pets and fix things around the house. I am a semi-retired art and ceramics teacher and art gallery educator so I'd be happy to teach ceramics or pottery in any studios out there. I love gardening, weeding, cooking and baking and at my house I have a huge vegetable garden. I love animals especially cats. I have an adult daughter who lives in USA, so I have experience with children. I am reasonably fit and go to gym (when at home) and hike regularly. When travelling, I love going off the beaten track, hiking (especially hills and mountains), learning about cultures, the arts and architecture. I am easy going with meals, do not smoke but enjoy a glass of wine (or beer!). I have a travel blog using the wix platform so have some experience with websites and I produce Instagram stories and posts regularly. I would be happy to help out with reading, writing or speaking in English. I look forward to meeting you and helping out!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

gardening, weeding, lawn mowing, flowers, knowledge of growing vegetables and organic gardening
cooking: especially vegetarian, vegan, Moroccan, curries, but also roasts and traditional cooking
cleaning and sorting; I love folding laundry and ironing clothes
pottery and ceramics (I have a Bachelor Degree with a major in ceramics): can teach throwing on the wheel and handbuilding, decorating skills
photography: I studied and taught Photography in schools and I can operate film and digital manual SLR cameras to enable great shallow depth of field shots.
writing: if you need something written in clear English, I can help; I have a travel blog so can help with written projects
Computer skills: Microsoft suite e.g. Word, Powerpoint, Excel
