Really easy to communicate, took every task with passion, dedication and was always available.
You would miss a great character and worker if you don't get Hamish, but hey that means that we can take him again and he will always be welcomed… read more
It was the staff, the guests, the other volunteers, the hostel itself, and a combination of all of these.
The work itself was varied and relaxed.
Morning shift was make beds and clean for about 5 hours, alongside paid staff.
Afternoon shift show people to their rooms at check-in, and keep the… read more
The retreat is in a stunningly beautiful part of Quintana Roo, a short but dusty walk from Chemuyil with easy connections to Tulum and Playa.
The French family running the retreat were a delight to work with. Georgio was absolutely lovely, helpful, kind and fun.
