Hi there!

I'm Markus, originally from Sweden but I have been living abroad for more or less half my life. I seem to have this travelling gypsey-blood running in my veins and even though I just turned 40 it doesn't seem to stop! I used to study photography in New York and that's my only formal education but otherwise I have always been following the "learning by doing"philosophy. I lived for some periods of time in communities, followed spiritual teachings and worked as volunteer at retreats but I don't really fit in to that or any other specific category. I love diversity...different cultures, characters and creative expressions. Kids, animals and nature is also on top of the list!

I've done some volunteer-work before, mainly creating beautiful spaces on the interior of houses and gardening through constructions and plants. My last adventure was to participate and also volunteer at a retreat center in the jungle of Peru and after that I met a woman here in Scandinavia where I lived quiet family life with her and her daughter for about two years and at the same time, working as a caretaker for old people and personal assistant for disabled people. My relationship ended and now I find myself alone on an increasingly cold island of the Baltic Sea.
I just made the decision that I want to take a break from "normal life" and live more simple in a warmer climate for a few months. I didn't feel that it was choice but rather a calling to go back to Italy where I have lived on and off for years and I speak some sort of basic Italian and I consider it to be my second home in the world....if not the first! So I leave it at that and I hope I sound like someone who you would be interested in creating a fun and interesting experience with! Maybe I just list short here of potential work that I could help you with but I am also very curious and open for new stuff :

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

So I'm a very creative person who loves to combine beauty with practicality. I enjoy to transform and create new spaces or events that brings puts a smile on other people! I prefer to reuse old materials that is found at the same property or locally, preferably natural or that simply has a magic feeling to it. I have studied a bit of art/architecture and I experienced so many different cultures that I seem to have a good eye for what would look good and how to creat this...a indian mediation-room, a scandinavian sauna, a arabic garden for example.

As you might see by now, I enjoy working in the garden with everything from planting plants to construct things to cutting grass. I also enjoy fixing, organizing and decorate the inside of houses. Also, I went to photography-school in New York so I can help with photos, film and also basic website building. Usually comes together as one. I also worked a lot in hospitality through restaurants, bed & breakfast, caretaker etc. In the past I have also worked with children, animals and community oriented projects.
