Hello! We are Valentina and Giovanni, a couple of young lovers who met in Venice!

My name is Valentina and I am a girl of 23 years old, from a small town in the province of Venice.
Since childhood my parents taught me to appreciate my surroundings: I have learnt to feel joy from the simple things in life, such as walking, observing and appreciating the beauty of things. Even today when I return to my garden I feel the same sense of peace and love as in my childhood.
I’m very passionate about photography, because it allows me to immerse myself completely in the present. Today I am a student in Visual Arts, I love art, music and nature. My father also passed on my love for the mountains.
I am a creative and kind person who works hard when involved in a project.

My name is Giovanni and I am 23 years old. I was born in Rome but have lived in the province of Venice for 14 years.
I have a Master’s degree in philosophy: I really enjoy talking and sharing thoughts on the most varied topics, and I am very keen to learn about new things. In addition to this I love cinema and music, and in general I feel closer to the arts than to science; I like being outdoors, in fact I often play tennis and go hiking in the mountains.
In my daily experience I try as much as possible to be present and not to let myself go to negative emotions; for this reason I try, during the day, to meditate.

We want to travel in order to meet new people and learn about different cultures! Also we would like to improve our language skills and learn how to lead a self-sufficient life.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Valentina: I have always helped my parents with our garden, learning how to cut the grass, stack the wood for the winter, take care of the garden and collect fruits and vegetables. I handle housekeeping, cleaning and cooking, especially in the last year living with other students. One of the things I prefer to make, however, are desserts and my forte is cheesecake!
I grew up with a dog and three cats, and I learned to take care of them.
I have worked for many years (first as a volunteer and then as a manager) in my town’s summer camp: I love being with children, involving them in games and in small creative projects!
This experience, together with my passion for photography, was fundamental for the last job I did as a photographer in a resort, where I spent all day with families and their children. Thanks to this work I also learned to manage sales and customer service.
I also know how to draw and paint, and I helped my father to whitewash the house, so I think I can help with similar projects!
In general I am open to everything and I really want to learn new things!

Giovanni: Living alone, I learned to take care of the house and above all to cook, which I do very willingly and not just out of necessity. I like to experiment and eat well; I am very happy to cook for others, even for many people. Furthermore, I did a few seasons as a waiter and one as a receptionist, where I learned to relate to people, something I previously struggled to do. I really like serving tables and making customers experience an excellent lunch or dinner. I read a lot of novels and essays,
for passion and for university reasons: I think I have developed good writing skills in general, both in terms of narrative and in more formal areas. For a few years I have had a camera with which I take photos and videos, which is why I could happily create content for social media or other things.
