Description

My name is Georga and I have been travelling in Europe for almost 2 years after quiting my job in Australia, and buying a one-way ticket to Europe. after spending a year in Austria on the working holiday visa and staying with a few families through Workaway and helping with a mixture of tasks (caring for children, household chores, and assisting on a sheep/dairy farm), I now have the working holiday visa for Germany until late January 2027. I have been to Germany a couple of times now, both on exchange and independently as an adult. I'm currently in the northeast of Germany working on a short-term project, but would love to see other parts of Germany whilst I am here - I particularly love mountains and want to keep on improving my German as I prepare for the B1 exam in the next few months.
I grew up in a small country town west of Melbourne in Australia, and was always helping my dad in the garden and with jobs to renovate the house (painting, knocking down walls/kitchens, holding up things while he put them into place, etc.). I then moved to Melbourne to complete my studies in Anatomy. Although I am an anatomist by training, I am having a break to try new opportunities and travel after many years of study and after the wonderful experiences I had last year. Prior to, and during my studies, and in the last 18 months, I volunteered for charity work, worked in hospitality, babysat, mentored younger students, taught anatomy, did technician work in an anatomy laboratory, and worked on a sheep farm (milking sheep and make cheese and yoghurt) - so am not shy of trying something new or of physically hard labour!
In my spare time I love to be in nature and go bike riding or hiking. I equally love spending time with friends/family, getting to know people, drawing and reading.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have over 6 years experience in hospitality, working in front of house directly with customers, and back of house washing dishes and preparing food. During my studies (5 years) and during my travels in the last 18 months I have been a babysitter, looking after children aged 7 months to 12 years of age, both with after school care and on the weekends, which included preparing meals and assisting the children with school homework.
I have experience through in the last 18 months looking after pets and farm animals (including dogs, cats, sheep, chickens, turkeys, ducks, and geese), assisting with farm work (milking sheep, making cheese and yoghurt, and feeding and cleaning barns/coops for animals mentioned above), and household chores (cleaning, cooking for up to 10 people, house painting).
I have a PhD in anatomy, and have 8 years experience with research and teaching anatomy, and technical work. I am therefore familiar with communicating with a large range of individuals with different backgrounds and experiences, and maintaining good practices with hygiene and OHS standards.
