Hello Workway people! 🌿🌍

I'm excited to introduce myself to this amazing community. I'm an Italian master's student in Political Economy with a deep passion for ecology, environmental justice, and permaculture. I'm on a mission to explore the world and help people through volunteering.

Right now, I'm taking courses like Sustainability, Ecology, and Feminism. These classes are adding to what I learned about Economic Development and International Cooperation during my bachelor's degree.

During my bachelor's, I did an internship in Ghana. The year after, I went to Madrid as part of an exchange program. Now, I live, study and work in Germany.

Beyond my studies, I volunteer with an NGO that builds eco-friendly buildings for deprived communities in the Global South. This provides me with theoretical knowledge in sustainable architecture practices, international cooperation and rural development.

In recent years, I've been involved in a local project that turns urban spaces into gardens for everyone to enjoy. I did my first WWOOF experience on permaculture in Germany and participated in a permaculture volunteering experience in Spain.

I'm very curious and love learning new things. I'm open to fresh ideas and love to make a positive impact. I am very concerned with the injustices that occur in our patriarchal capitalist system to minority groups and to the working class. I am interested in recognising power dynamics at the political and economic levels that recreate and perpetuate social inequalities.

Volunteers are the ones that really support and create prosperity in our society. I want to be one of those volunteers, and that's why I'm here.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

My previous and current studies focused on economics, international cooperation, political economy and sustainability which offered me both depth and breadth across principles of ecology, sustainability and policy making at the European and global level, an understanding of the challenges related to integrating social equity and sustainability in the context of globalisation.

In my past experiences with permaculture I have learnt how to make fertiliser, compost, plant hundreds of trees and in general I am very willing to get my hands dirty and work for mother earth.

I like to organize social projects and events and i love singing.

In my previous office working experiences I acquired the following skills:

− Ability to conduct policy-oriented research, draft research project documentation as well as
− Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with the ability to prioritise tasks.
− Having worked in multicultural and diverse environments, I learned how to successfully collaborate and cooperate with international colleagues and customers.
− Outstanding intercultural skills, demonstrating cultural adaptation: successfully managed to mediate between international partners and international clients
− Furthermore, I possess excellent communication and active listening skills as well as excellent writing skills and a good level of computer literacy that enables me to work with others to achieve concrete goals.
