Hello!

I am a female from Finland. My name is Eevastiina, but you can call me Eva as it is easier 😊 Even though this account is quite new, I am not that new in Workaway; I had a couple account here before and I have been using another, similar type of page (HelpExchange) before. So, I have experience in this volunteer stuff since 2004.

Lately I have been working in an outdoor and board games company. But when I travel I am happy to do something completely different.

I have a teenage daughter, who is actually travelling in Australia at the moment and having a gap year from her studies. I plan to meet her at some point, but probably I will be mainly travelling alone.

Even though I am quite shy sometimes, I still like to meet people, but if I am not super social or talkative all the time, please, try to understand me and don't think I am rude! Big and loud groups can be challenging for me, but in case I end up to such a place, I will try to manage as well as possible. Thank you for your understanding! 😊

Like mister Einstein, I don't have any special talents, just curiosity and some experience ☺ I have been doing some gardening, weeding and other simple things. As I have my own child, I have some experience of childcare. Lately I have also been taking care of my little nieces and my goddaughter and working as a leader in kids' afternoon club at schools (with 6-9 years old kids).I enjoy the company of (little) children a lot 🥰

I would also love to take care of animals. I am willing to learn new things and I am hardworking and trustworthy worker, if you give me a chance, good tools and instructions 😊 I am physically in good condition, so I am not afraid of physical jobs too, but as a small female I am not very strong though.. Even though I don't have any passion for cleaning, I can also help you with it. I am not good at cooking, but I am still willing to assist you in the kitchen and if you have a good recipe, I might succeed to make something eatable 😊

Eva is a lovely person and a big help. She is quiet which helps with the wallabies about.
Her English is much better than my Finnish lol!
Just be clear because sometimes she doesn’t understand.

Eva was a week of sunshine
She was keen and eager to learn, listen and absorb. She gobbled up all that was given to her. Both work and food.

I stayed almost two weeks in the retreat center and I really enjoyed my stay there. The place is amazing. It's very peaceful and in the middle of the nature. Eva was truly exceptional. I did not think so upon meeting her as she is so soft spoken. What I noticed consistently, however, in her two weeks with us is that she is so attentive. Eva was always available to help with cleaining work, avalble to help for everything, polite and respectful of the place rules. She helped me a lot and I was glad to help also her in those days. I was volunteering at Erika's and Eduardo's place for one week. My work there was weeding. We had a good time together. When Eevastiina was here we were at the apex of the chestunt picking. We worked many hours and she was always willing to help...her contribution was important and much appreciated.
