Hi, I'm Erika. I am 24 years old and I am about to graduate in Psychology in December. I am a positive and energetic person, always ready to get involved. I really enjoy meeting new people and creating a positive and welcoming environment, and this is one of the main reasons why I love travelling and discovering new places and cultures.
I come from a city near the mountains, precisely Turin, in northern Italy, so I really appreciate being surrounded by nature. I am passionate about animals, my mum is a vet and at home we have three dogs and a cat. I like taking care of them and living in an environment where they are part of everyday life. I am always looking for new things to learn and new cultures to get to know.

One of the main goals for me in this experience is to improve my level of English. I currently understand both written and spoken English well, but I still find difficulty in production, especially in speaking fluently and finding the right words at the right time. I would therefore like to work on my fluency, becoming more confident and natural in using the language in both informal and professional contexts. I am motivated to reach a more advanced level, and I believe that an immersive experience is the best way to develop these skills. But at the same time, I would like to teach Italian because I love sharing this language and helping people overcome their difficulties. Thanks to my experience as a tutor for children with learning difficulties, I have developed patience and the ability to quickly understand the needs of each individual, finding effective and personalised solutions. I am convinced that with a caring and positive approach every student can learn successfully, and I look forward to accompanying someone on this journey!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

During my professional experience, I have developed soft skills in diverse settings, including hospitals, elementary school and educational facilities. I had the opportunity to work as an entertainer and assistant, designing and implementing play and educational activities for children. These experiences have allowed me to hone communication, active listening and group management skills, skills that are fundamental to collaborating effectively in teams.
I have also a big experience with animal, my last workaway experience were in Lapland, were I worked with huskies in a sled centre in Ivalo!

In addition, my recent career path has allowed me to acquire crucial skills in administration and office management and back office activities. I have worked with different offices and teams, adapting to the specific needs of each group and learning to coordinate my work among differentiated activities and demands. This experience has allowed me to develop solid teamwork skills while maintaining flexibility in adapting to various work styles and methods. Finally, I have developed a remarkable ability to manage information flow and data control with precision, solving organizational problems independently while ensuring efficient visitor support and timely management of back office activities

I rode horses until I was 16, an experience that gave me unforgettable moments and made me fall in love with horses. Unfortunately, I had to stop due to leg problems, but my passion for these animals has remained intact. I have been skiing since I was 3 years old, and I love spending time surrounded by nature, either in a tent or in a van. I also like to dance, but I also appreciate moments of relaxation, such as crocheting while watching a good movie. These activities reflect my way of life: active and adventurous, but also creative and relaxed.
