Hey there! 😊

We are Andrea (30) and Erik (28). We met 2 years ago and sealed our compromise adopting a ficus bonsai.

We're so excited to be joining Workaway. We love travelling, meeting new people and learning about different ways of life. Eventually, we would love to buy a piece of land in a place we like and build our own home there. So getting to know people who live life their way is really inspiring for us.

This summer we are looking forward to travelling to Portugal, we want to surf and explore the country, Andrea just started surfing while Erik is a bit more experienced.

We also are really looking after some much needed disconnection from everyday life, as Andrea has just finished her studies, and Erik is just about to begin his. So both of us, for opposite reasons, need a breathe of fresh air before next winter :)

Last summer we spent a month in our van, which proved we´re good at communicating, coexisting and being a team (we worked with 2 square meters, 3 at best).

I'm Erik, and I'm 28 years old.

I´m a really calm and curious person. I´ve spent a big part of my life thinking about life itself, watching and studying everything around me, and I really like sharing views of life with people who are willing to share theirs:).

When I get fixated on something I REALLY get deep into the matter, I just love investigating whatever I´m interested in, and getting to the bottom of it!

I'm an aspiring photographer and on my first steps towards learning programming.

I love surfing, nature, technology and mechanics. I've maintained and fixed most of my vehicles, from vans to motorbikes and cars.

I also started exploring the music/DJing world, and it's been really fun! So much incredible music around :)

I'm Andrea and I'm 30 :)

I am an easy-going, curious, and creative person. I've always been interested in understanding myself and others, and getting to know other people's life stories.

I'm a clinical psychologist and I'm currently finishing my PhD. I am trained as a gestalt therapist. I would love sharing my experiences (body work, emotions, exercises).

In my free time I enjoy meeting friends, cultural activities, sports and nature. I'm into capoeira, contemporary dance, and yoga. I love music, cooking, animals and travelling too!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

Erik:
Photography/Videography: 8 years of experience, I started a surfing photography account with a good friend of mine! It´s called @frango.450
I´ve also done lots of freelancing work, concert photography, car photography, worked at a surfcamp...

Social media management: It always comes in handy

Mechanical knowledge: From a headgasket replacement to a brake system refurbishing, and lots of stuff in between :)

All around handy work: I´ve worked in different technical fields, so I´m familiar with tools and learn quick!

Gardening: I´ve recently gotten interested into it! Not much experience, but super willing to learn :)

Andrea:

I've got organizational and planification skills.

I love cooking and i'll be happy to cook for family and friends.

I love gardening, children and animals, i will gladly spend time taking care of them .

I'm creative and eager to learn different types of handy work and crafts (e.g. painting, building...) Once I did a workaway and we built a stone pathway, it was an awesome experience!

I can offer support as a clinical psychologist with Gestalt therapy training (e.g. in group exercises, relaxation techniques, mindfulness, individual support if needed, mediation between people in cases of conflict..)
