My name is Emma, I am 27 years old and from Denmark, Copenhagen, where I study medicine.

At the end of January, I am taking a break from my studies to go to Colombia. I will be travelling around South America for about 5 months would love volunteering along the way!

I am interested in all different kinds of volunteering; the most important thing for me is that it is with people who have their heart in the right place.

I would say that I am an open minded, respectful and helpful person. I am so excited to meet new people and become part of someone else’s everyday life. This is why I want to be a workawayer - to stay with people and really get to know them and their culture. I hope that you will consider welcoming me to your home 🌞

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am really hardworking, I learn new things fast and I am good at finding solutions when a problem occurs. I don’t like not doing things all the way and I always try to do them as well as possible!
On this trip I have spend almost 2 months at a farm in L’Ametlla de Mar and after 1 month in a finca in Granada, where I learned a lot about farming and building. And I would say that I have gotten pretty good at all sorts of tasks including using all kinds of tools both in the garden and when building/fixing things. I am not afraid of getting my hands dirty or getting some scratches - I actually enjoy it!
I have always loved animals and I am very used to being surrounded by them and helping with the care for them.
I have been working as a waitress so I am really good at cleaning and organising and at always seeing where I can help or what needs to be done.
Also I am experienced in working with children - I have done this in Denmark for about 2 years with children aged 0-6. I really enjoy spending time with children and I have experienced here in Spain that children are great Spanish teachers as well ☺️

I would love it if you want to teach me some new skills and give me knowledge about something new!
