Description
I'm an enthusiastic young Australian keen to learn new skills, meet new people and explore. I'm very easy-going but also maintain a very high work ethic. I understand that we have to work hard when necessary and love to celebrate a hard day's work!
For the past 5 years I've been working as the manager of a gourmet mushroom growing facility in Brisbane, Australia. I've trained these skills abroad in both Europe and Asia and have extensive experience and knowledge in all things DIY mushroom cultivation - as well as more commercial settings. I believe mushroom cultivation can be an invaluable addition to any permaculture and/or sustainable food system project and would be delighted to assist in helping those who desire it to achieve this goal. I also have an honours degree in Environmental Management and Sustainability, and am particularly interested in circular food systems!
Additionally, I'm an enthusiastic musician. You'll often find me strumming on the first guitar I find. I've experience teaching guitar to all age groups, and have played/recorded/produced several music projects over the last 10 years. I'm also passionate about food and is always keen to cook for the masses!
My main motivation behind working away is to explore the world, engage in cultural exchange, meet new people, have unique experiences and share stories. I'm especially eager to develop my language skills, but also skills on all fronts, whether it be: cooking, farming - anything really!

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
Mainly I'm experienced in the world of audio/music as that is where I earn my keep. However; through that I've become quite familiar with working in labour intensive roles and all round hard - get my hands dirty - type work. Thanks to my Nonna, I'm also not half bad in the kitchen and cherish the opportunity to cook for you, whilst learning more about cooking, produce, agriculture and the use of fresh, home grown ingredients. I maintain qualifications in horticulture, mycology and mushroom cultivation, environmental management and sustainability.
