Welcome to my profile! In the following I would like to tell you a little bit about myself and why I want to do Workaway.

My Name is Emma. I am 20 years old and I finished School last year. I have a younger brother (14) and a younger sister (17). We also have a dog. The dog is called Sally and is a poodle. I really enjoy jogging and walking with Sally. I also love cooking, concerts and activities with my friends. My coolest travel experience so far was the Interrail trip through Europe with my boyfriend and my one-month internship on a farm in Sardinia. The internship was organized by my school, but the farm actually works with Workaway as well. Because of the great time I had there I came up with the idea of ​​doing workaway myself after graduating from school. Before I start studying next year, I would like to use my newly gained freedom to travel, have great experiences and get to know new people and their culture. My big wish is to travel to Spain. I had Spanish classes at school for two years and I studied Spanish in Valencia for 7 Weeks, but that wasn't enough for me! I would like to learn better Spanish, explore the beautiful nature and cities there and learn more about the traditions of the people there. I think it's great that Workaway also gives me the opportunity to try out different tasks and jobs. In the current phase of my life, I think this is very helpful to find out what I really want to do in the future and to become even more independent and gain new skills.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I am an open-minded, enthusiastic and adaptable person. In the 10th grade I did a three-month student exchange to Canada, where I was able to improve my English and met great people and a new school system. Besides English, I speak German as my mother tongue and a little bit of Spanish. I enjoy working in a team. I noticed that, for example, in my part-time job in a bakery. In addition, dealing with customers was very easy for me there and I also enjoyed it. I was able to gain further professional experience during my internship at a local newspaper. There I wrote my own articles, conducted interviews and did street polls. I also have some gardening experience. On the one hand, I had gardening as a school subject and I also regularly help at home in our large garden. On the other hand, I learned a lot about agricultural work and permaculture during my one-month internship on a farm in Sardinia. I like to cook regularly, e.g. for my family. I'm also good with children because I have two younger siblings and have often looked after my little cousin.

There are actually still a few things that I am enthusiastic about or that I have experienced and would like to mention. Besides cooking, I also love food. I'm also very interested in typical and traditional dishes from different countries. For example, I have made tapas or sushi myself. That was very delicious. My favorite German dish is Käsespätzle. I like being in nature very much and I especially like the sea. I also really enjoy game nights with family or friends. I especially like playing the card game “Phase 10”or the parlor game “Activity”. I've done a lot of different sports in a club. I've played tennis, did climbing and ballroom dancing with a partner. Okay, that was really a lot of information about me. Maybe I'll learn more from you soon :)
