Hello! I’m Émilie, a 33-year-old French traveller on a Working Holiday Visa in Australia (not necessarily looking for a job that fits the 88-days criteria).
I came here with one big wish: to live something meaningful, grounded, and connected with nature, with animals and with gentle humans.
In France, I am self-employed as a writer and communication coach, and I still manage a few small projects remotely (I can be totally flexible around your schedule). But my real goal now is the Workaway experience. I would love to slow down, help out locally and reconnect to what really matters: care, presence, teamwork (I'm used to working on my own, so I can easily do it that too if needed) and real life experience.
I’ve done a lot of pet-sitting, rescued injured animals (and recently started the WIRES wildlife awareness course). I’d love to contribute in farms, sanctuaries or homes where I can support a project, help and be useful, take care of animals or the land, and share good energy ✨
I’m not a professional gardener (but I have lots of plants in my flat in France! 🌿) or a masterchef either 😄 (I make pretty simple meals), but I’m always happy to help and learn along the way, feel useful and and share the best I can.
I’m caring, reliable and really looking forward to beautiful, simple human and animal connections and useful experiences!Centres d’intérêt

Quelles sont vos compétences ?
I’m not a pro at everything, but I’m curious, kind and a quick learner. Not afraid to help out where needed!
In France, I run my own small business, so I know how to work independently, but I’m just as happy teaming up with others!
I’ve done a bit of woofing and pet-sitting before. I enjoy simple things, connecting with people and animals, and doing my best ☺️.
My English isn’t perfect but improving every day and I want to practice! I’m always up for a chat and new experiences!Âge

Autres infos...
I’ve always dreamed of working with animals (wanted to be a vet when I was a kid! But let’s say maths and I were never best friends 😅).
So, instead of working in a clinic, I’m now choosing to help on the ground, in a more hands-on way. Which might be even better for nature and me!
I love hiking in nature, going for walks with dogs (Labradors in my family in France 🤎), and sometimes running. But let’s be honest, I’m more into long walks with nice views than marathons!
I’m a cinema lover (and popcorn 💛), I enjoy writing, and I practice yoga and Pilates to stay balanced.
I also have a deep passion for sweet potatoes 🍠😄
Always curious to learn, share, and enjoy the simple moments and the feeling to be alive, right here and right now ! 💚Informations complémentaires
