Hi! I’m Ellen.
Having just left school, I am eager to learn new things and meet people. In my free time, I enjoy dancing, painting and cooking. I am always up for an adventure, and I have a wide range of interests and talents. I recently bought my first digital camera to begin my journey into photography.

Dancing is my passion because movement and sound not only carry memories but also create meaningful moments. For me, it's all about exchange - being inspired by others and inspiring them in return. With this in mind, I'm excited to meet the hostel's guests and fellow volunteers, and to share my creativity as part of your project.

Cooking provides a sense of satisfaction, especially when cooking for others. So I would love being involved in preparing meals. But most of all I can’t wait to learn local recipes that I can recreat at home. :)

I grew up speaking English and German (And I have a Cambridge Proficiency Certificate in english). Therefore I can communicate confidently in both languages and would love to gain experience teaching them. In turn I love hearing new languages and am more than willing to learn some myselve. Currently I am learning French .

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have experience in hospitality as I currently work in an ice cream/coffee shop. I have also done a language exchange in a buvette (small outdoor restaurant) in the French-speaking Alps of Switzerland. I am familiar with outdoor activities as I live and grew up in a rural area. I have also visited my family in the north of England, also a very rural area, many times, where we go on rainy walks and bike rides.
