Welcome to our home in beautiful Valnesfjord, Northern Norway!
We are an Italian family living in a peaceful village surrounded by mountains, forests and fjords. During summer you can experience the midnight sun, while in winter you may be lucky enough to see the Northern Lights.
We have three children (2, 7 and 8 years old), a vegetable garden, two dogs, three cats and some chickens. Our home is an active family home, and we are looking for someone who would like to experience Norwegian life while becoming part of our daily routine.
The help mainly consists of general household tasks such as cooking, cleaning, gardening, small maintenance projects and occasionally spending time with the children while we are busy. We are looking for someone who enjoys family life and is happy to help where needed.
In your free time you can explore the incredible nature around Valnesfjord, go hiking, fishing, kayaking or simply relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Fauske is only a short drive away and offers shops, cafés and other services.
We prefer volunteers who can stay for at least three weeks and who are positive, independent and enjoy cultural exchange. We look forward to welcoming you into our family! -

Staying with us is a chance to experience authentic life in Northern Norway. We live in the beautiful village of Valnesfjord, surrounded by mountains, forests and fjords. In summer you can enjoy the midnight sun, while in winter you may witness the magical Northern Lights.
We love sharing our Italian culture while learning about yours. You can join us in cooking, gardening and everyday family life, discover Norwegian traditions, explore the stunning nature through hiking and fishing, and experience life in a peaceful local community away from mass tourism.
We hope you will leave not only with unforgettable memories, but also with new friends and a true understanding of Norwegian culture and lifestyle. -

Aide
We are looking for help with general household tasks, gardening, cooking, caring for our dogs and occasionally spending time with our children. The tasks vary from day to day, and we appreciate people who enjoy being part of family life and helping where needed.
You will have your own private room, all meals are included, and we will be happy to introduce you to Norwegian culture and the beautiful nature around Valnesfjord. -
