I'm a passionate language learner coming to France in the autumn to study French at Université Lumière Lyon. In the past years I have found many wonderful hosts through workaway and gotten to learn about permaculture, community living, eco-construction, dog care and AirBnb-cleaning in France, Spain, the Netherlands, Malta, and Canada. I have lived with families as well as in larger communities and always felt very cared for and inlcuded.

I recently graduated from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences with a degree in Forestry Science. I have lived in different collectives/communities during my studies, with people from all walks of life. In my current household, we are eight people who share the tasks of cooking, cleaning, gardening and maintenance of the house. We think it's important that everyone in the house feels seen and heard and that decision-making is shared and that conflicts are discussed openly and resolved peacefully.

I am a very quick learner and have a lot of patience, which means that I can help with practically any task if I get clear instructions.

Lastly, I am very patient, calm and curious about people - ready to share ideas and stories.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I have previously done gardening work at home and even planted trees to regrow a forest on the outskirts of my city. My first workaway experience was in a botanical garden in Alicante during october and november of this year. I got to help take care of the plants, clean the garden, restore old furniture, do some minor construction etc. It was a very pleasant experience and I believe that my hosts were very happy with my hard work and attention to detail.

I have painted houses, know basic bike maintenance and have worked as a cashier in a restaurant. I'm also quite good at sketching and art in general.

Additionally, if you're interested can help you practicing Swedish and English as I have studied English on a C1 level (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages). My classmates and siblings often tell me that I am very good at helping with homework and teaching in a pedagogical way.

When working on a project I always prioritize quality over speed - I always make sure to do a good job, even if it might take a few extra minutes.

I dance lindy hop and I'm happy to teach you some steps if you're interested. I paint watercolor and I love hiking and climbing trees. If I'm out in nature I will make frequent stops to identify the plants and animals around me.
