👩‍❤️‍👨Hi! We’re Antonella (27) and Michele (30), a couple from northern Italy traveling since April in our beloved camper “Sauro.”
🚚We left behind city life in search of something more simple, sustainable, and meaningful.

🌿We’re easygoing people who love nature, animals, and hands-on living.
🪨We identify as antispeciesist, which for us means respecting all living beings and opposing any form of exploitation.
🈳This perspective goes beyond animals — it’s also why we’ve chosen to stop working under hierarchical systems and instead pursue a lifestyle based on autonomy, mutual support, and community.

🐽We travel with our four beloved animal companions:
🐶•Sibilla, a sweet and shy rescued hunting dog.
🐈‍⬛🐈•Cantarello & Bubbola, sibling cats we rescued as tiny kittens in 2021.
😼•Prinus, the youngest of the crew — curious, sweet, and still a bit timid.
🌍They’re used to camper life and are very calm and well-behaved.

🛠️Our skills:
🌳•Michele is a professional gardener and tree climber, with greenhouse and outdoor experience.
🧰•Antonella is a piercer, flexible and quick to learn, with a preference for outdoor tasks. Her favorite job (despite our ethical views) was at a horse stable, due to the meaningful connection with the animals.
🫒•We are both experienced olive growers, with roots in the Rieti region (central Italy) and hands-on knowledge of pruning and harvesting.

☀️Why Workaway?
🏞️We’re on a journey to find a more conscious, off-grid lifestyle. We’re looking for places where we can learn and contribute — and maybe, find a place to grow roots.

Although we travel in a camper, we do need:
🚿•toilet and shower,
❄️•a fridge or access to one,
🔥•a place to cook outside the van (especially in hot summer months)

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

We’re both practical, hands-on people who love finding creative, low-resource solutions to everyday problems. We’re not professional carpenters or mechanics, but we’ve repaired and improved many things in our goldy oldy camper — from fixing leaks and damaged wood to making smart DIY upgrades using what we had on hand (like a cabinet door made from a tobacco tin lid!).

We prefer working outdoors and feel comfortable with both plant care and animal care.

•Antonella has worked in a horse stable and feels confident around animals.
•Michele is a professional gardener and tree climber, with experience managing over 5,000 plants in a greenhouse.
•We’re both experienced olive growers, with strong roots in central Italy (Sabina area).

We’re good in the kitchen and know how to keep it clean and running smoothly (even if we’re a bit messy in our personal spaces).
Above all, we’re adaptable, humble, and willing to learn whatever is needed to help.
