I love spending time in nature combined with great conversations or reading books. I generally enjoy outdoor sports, fitness, yoga and going for a ride with our horses. Also I like to go dancing.

Description

My name is Elisa and I am 24 years old. I live in a city called Braunschweig (near Hannover) but my heart still belongs to the countryside, where my family lives/gets together quite frequently.
I study social work and wanna take a semester off in order to travel for half a year. Workaway is the perfect opportunity to make this happen and I’m very grateful and excited about this upcoming chapter of my life.

For me, traveling means getting to know new people and cultures but also getting out of your comfort zone. Traveling brings you closer to yourself and always lets you find out something new about yourself. While traveling, you give yourself the chance to break out of your daily life. You look much closer at what fulfills you the most and you can just follow your needs. You can go with the flow and that’s what I love about traveling.

My essence of life are warm hearted people, the wonderful nature and all kinds of animals. It brings me joy and I love to be surrounded by one or even all of that.

I really enjoy being part of a community. I am an open-minded person who loves to make new friends. No matter where I am, my motivation always is to get to know new people with a positive mindset and attitude. It’s very fulfilling to me to engage in interesting conversations with different people and to gain insights into their experiences, attitudes and views of life. For me, it is a gift to meet each other with appreciation, care and openness to life.

All in all, I want to fill my time with love and appreciation. No matter the circumstances, I will soak up every second of my traveling experiences and wanna explore the good in everything or everybody that’ll cross or follow my way.

The outstanding nature is one of the reasons why I chose New Zealand as my first destination and I can't wait to explore this beautiful place!
In addition, I want to improve my English skills and I see traveling as a great opportunity to do so.

Quelles sont vos compétences ?

I grew up with three siblings in a small village with lots of animals. So I know how to lend a hand and carry out tasks carefully. I’m good in noticing small things/tasks where I can support/help and generally, I’m a person that one can always count on.

I'd love to offer my help at a farm, for example in the garden, with animals, or around the house. Since I‘ve done a lot of social work in my past up to now, I‘d love to bring in my social skills as well. I’ve spent a lot of time with children, young people or older people. I like to engage and work with all kinds of people and if there’s an opportunity to do so while traveling with workaway, I’d be glad!
