Hi, new to workaway

Recently come out of my trade as a luthier of these past forty years, now seeking new pathways.

My interest is in purposeful projects with which I can engage and contribute, rather than looking for the travel/cultural exchange side of things, which of course is equally as valid. I could commit to a longer term should the right opportunity arise, but that is not an objective I have at the moment. Also I am an ethical vegan of many years and this has to be an important constituent of anything that I become involved with.

I have been living off grid on my narrowboat for the past ten years so I am very familiar with small space living and all the other intricacies of this lifestyle. I will be keeping this as my base while I hope to spend more time networking and helping out on other projects. There seem to be some interesting ones on here!

What can I offer? My trade as a luthier, violin maker and restorer, has enabled me to develop fine woodworking skills. No unfortunately I'm not a musician, but have worked with many talented artists.
I have also been involved in a number of house restorations and picked up usable skills here too. I once built my own cabin as a workshop and this is something that has my interest in developing further. I was recently going to build a tiny house cabin for another project but unfortunately this never developed further than an idea.

Ground works, building, carpentry oh and I can cook, not professional, but I was once part of a community vegetarian cafe in my early days.

May add to this as I think further, but here I am as a first intro!

Woodwork and carpentry, my trade was violin making and restoration but also have done a lot of general carpentry work, cabin builds, van fit outs etc.
